SHARK CAGE DIVING

Shark Alley, near Gansbaai, South Africa is one of a mere handful of places in the world where this magnificent predator can be found on a daily basis. These sharks are surface feeders and are happy to come and perform just inches from the boat. You don't need to be a diver to get close -- though cage diving is also provided!
What we are offering you is the opportunity to dive and meet a Great White Shark, face to face - and on your own terms. Its an education and you will soon learn that this magnificent creature is in fact, highly misunderstood. It is a creature which should be more respected than feared. And if you spend some quality time with us, and with them, you will quickly learn why.
Sharks are quite possibly the world's most feared predators. From the smallest sand shark to the enormous whale shark, they are sleek, muscled, and some are almost as agile as a dolphin. There is no doubt that they are the most evolved predators in the ocean.

SURFING
We teach absolute beginners the basics of surfing, show you the way to paddle out, catch a wave and control your body weight as you stand up. We use Mini-Malibu surfboards, which are designed with flotation and stability in mind, making them light, stable and easy to learn on.
Cape Town also offers the annual Big Wave Surfing competition at Cape Point, every year.

WHALE WATCHING
Walker Bay is a breeding ground of the Southern Right whale, and from July through to December, these playful giants can be seen almost daily from the Hermanus waterfront.. The whales are frequently found just metres from shore, and Hermanus has a reputation for providing visitors with the world's best shore-based whale watching. The most common sightings are of Southern Right Whales, which are usually in pods of up to 20. Other common species seen in these areas are Humpbacks, Mink, Brydes and occasionally even Orca, otherwise known as Killer Whales. Observe their spectacular mating antics, newborn calves and marvel at the sheer size of these magnificent mammals.
