ALTO
Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg, Alto's vineyards cling to the high granite slopes. These slopes, rising from 100 to 500 metres above sea level are ideal for the cultivation of red varietals.

Alto's vineyards face north, north-east and north-west. In summer the late-afternoon sea breezes that rise from False Bay cool the grapes, thus lengthening the ripening period and preserving the complex flavours. The Estate has won more than 70 gold medals in open competition with the best wines in the world.

AVONTUUR
From the terrace in front of the winery, the view sweeps across the rugged mountains of the Helderberg and green paddocks enclosed with white pole fences containing thoroughbred race horses. In the distance False Bay and the high ridges leading all the way to Cape Point can be seen. This is the terroir responsible for Avontuur Estate's award-winning wines. Lying restfully amongst the vines is the beautiful Avontuur Wine Estate where the emphasis has always been on quality rather than quantity. There remains a synergy that develops between the arts of wine making and horse breeding, as one form lends itself to the other in a very natural way. Avontuur Estate was acquired by Tony Taberer in 1983. Since then Avontuur has garnered many local and international awards and has consistently produced classy wines which grace tables around the world.

BILTON
Bilton Wines is situated in the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains. Originally known as Bonterivier, the farm dates back to 1694. The first vines were planted in 1726 and an old wine cellar, dated 1824, still graces the estate.

Since 1996 a scientific replanting programme has ensured that our vineyards are planted with noble cultivars that are ideally suited to the terroir.

CORDOBA
Cordoba is situated high on the slopes of the Helderberg with views over False Bay. The grapes grow at 600 m above sea-level and red wines constitute 70 percent of production.

Cordoba estate commands majestic views over the whole of False Bay and its surrounds. These stunning views are matched by winemaker Chris Keet's high expectations of quality and excellence.

INGWE
INGWE is situated on the foothills of Schapenberg, overlooking False Bay. Influenced by the soil and cool breeze off the Atlantic Ocean, INGWE is perfectly situated to produce great wine.

INGWE (meaning leopard in isiXhosa, due to the big cat still roaming the mountains above the farm), was purchased by Alain Moueix, renowned winemaker from Bordeaux. Red cultivars were planted for the production of red blends. An old block of Sauvignon Blanc form the basis of our white blend, enhanced by barrel fermented Semillon from Sir Lowry's Pass. INGWE only produces 3 blended wines, as we feel by blending we can make wine as complex as the French/South African venture we have.

MORGENSTER
The belief shared by owner Guilio Bertrand and winemaker Marius Lategan is that grapes grown in the vineyards should be picked at full physiological ripeness and be subject to minimum manipulation by the winemaker.

The first new vineyards were planted in 1994. Today, approximately 40 ha are under Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Suitable clones were specially selected for soil variances on all nothern slope terrain. The estate focus on Cape Bordeaux blends and use French oenologist, Pierre Lurton as their wine consultant to assist in compiling final blends.

SOMERBOSCH
Somerbosch is situated exactly halfway between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, both areas known for their perfect conditions, climate and soil, ideal for the production of quality wines. The farm lies at the foot of the Helderberg, 12 km from the Atlantic Ocean.

"Die Fonteine", home to Somerbosch Wines, has been the home of the Roux family for more than half a century. Somerbosch is run as a family affair, with Wally Roux`s sons, Marius and Japie, in charge of winemaking, production and management. Situated as it is between two of the world's renowned wine regions, Somerbosch is accustomed to the best of both worlds. This is reflected in the winemaking techniques too - both modern and traditional methods are employed to attain the best results from vintage to vintage.
